Skate for the Kids: a HUGE Success!!!

Thank you to everyone who came out this Saturday, January 28, 2012, to attend and support Ocean Beach Surf & Skate's 2nd Annual Skate for the Kids fundraiser!  With the help of our amazing sponsors and parent volunteers, we were able to raise more than double the amount of money for OB Elementary than we raised last year!!  Many thanks to Vox Footwear and Mostic for joining us at the event and to Hodad's for donating the delicious burgers and fixings.  Please enjoy this beautiful slide show and keep an eye out for additional photos coming soon!

Many thanks to KUSI News who invited OB Surf & Skate and OB Elementary to appear on their show this morning to promote our 2^nd Annual Skate for the Kids fundraiser.  Alexis DelChiaro interviewed Caleb Martin and Joel Aldous of OBSS, and Celeste Abbott, a member of OB Elementary’s PTA, who shared details of the event which is happening this Saturday from 11am to 3pm at Robb Field Skate Park.  Check out the clip below for the full story!!

2nd Annual Skate for the Kids Has Been Rescheduled!!!

The Second Annual Skate for the Kids fundraiser has been rescheduled for this Saturday, January 28, 2012!  Although we were rained out last weekend, this Saturday's forecast calls for sunshine and warm temperatures, so it's bound to be an amazing day for our pro meet and greet, BBQ and raffle.  Join Ocean Beach Surf & Skate and Ocean Beach Elementary at Robb Field from 11:00am to 3:00pm for some sweet skating, delicious food and fantastic raffle prizes.  Remember, all proceeds are going to OB Elementary so this is a phenomenal opportunity to have fun and give back to the community.  Please feel free to contact us with any questions, we hope to see you this weekend!

2nd Annual Skate for the Kids Day Postponed!!

The 2nd Annual Skate for the Kids fundraiser has been postponed due to rain.  Although Ocean Beach Surf & Skate and OB Elementary are disappointed that things did not work out today, we know that the event will be even better with the sun shining.  Please check back for details, our event will be rescheduled soon!!  

2nd Annual Skate for the Kids

Join Ocean Beach Surf & Skate, premier skate and apparel companies and local skateboard pros to raise money for local school, Ocean Beach Elementary.  On Saturday, January 21, 2012, from 11:00am to 3:00pm, OB Surf & Skate will host our 2nd Annual Skate for the Kids fundraiser at Robb Field Skate Park.  This stellar event will feature a meet and greet with pro skateboarders, a tasty BBQ with food provided by Hodad's and a huge raffle with prizes from our sponsors and local businesses, Dizm, Syndrome, West, Electric, Jedidiah, Mostic, Sector 9, Tum Yeto, Vox, Shorty's, VAS, NHS, Hodad's, Blue Parrot, The Harp and more!

All proceeds raised from this event will be donated to Ocean Beach Elementary in an effort to counteract recent budget cuts and to bolster programs including music and art instruction, academic enrichment activities, family entertainment and student recognition events.  In addition to monetary donations, event sponsors, local businesses and individuals have donated incredible prizes for the raffle such as skateboards, clothing, shoes, sunglasses, gift certificates and more.
