This Sunday, September 13, 2009, marks the 18th Annual Paddle for Clean Water Festival held in Ocean Beach. Using the OB Pier as its center piece, the festival provides everyone the chance to join together and raise awareness for clean water issues that San Diego faces. The event kicks off at 10:00 a.m. with the paddle around the pier, where Ocean Beach Surf and Skate will be providing participants without boards with a FREE board rental. Be sure to arrive early, because the offer is only valid while supplies last! Also, don’t forget to visit Ocean Experience Surf School at their interactive booth inside the Stone Brewery Beer Garden located at the OB Pier Parking lot. The beer garden will be open from 11:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and will feature live musical performances from Pullman Standard, C Money and The Players Inc., Tribal Seeds and Iration, as well as great food and entertainment for all. There will also be a Kids arts and crafts area open on grass park at the end of Newport Avenue. Mark your calendars because this is one event, you won’t want to miss!
