Lost Atlas Premiere in Point Loma for a Surf on the Silver Screen!

Wrap up the summer fun with Ocean Beach Surf and Skate at Surf on the Silver Screen at The Pearl Hotel. This month’s epic movie premiere will feature the year’s most highly anticipating film, Lost Atlas, on Tuesday, August 30, 2011 from 7:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.

Held on the Last Tuesday, every month, Surf on the Silver Screen features the latest surf films, killer food and drink specials, and best of all, Ocean Beach Surf and Skate will be giving away a brand-new Surfboard in this month’s raffle!

Kick back poolside, in a cabana, or inside the lounge at this newly remodeled, hip hotel and check out Kai Neville’s latest film, Lost Atlas. Known for the game-changing surf film, Modern Collective and Kai Neville demonstrates nothing less in Lost Atlas. With six of surfing’s most innovative surfers starring in the film, Lost Atlas takes contemporary surfing to a new level. Do not miss Owen Wright, Jordy Smith, Dane Reynolds, Dusty Payne, Yadin Nicol (and many more) transform the sport of surfing through the artist lenses of Kai Neville.

Drop-in, Animal Style for the Parking Lot Premiere of "What Day Is It?" at Ocean Beach Surf & Skate!

Ocean Beach Surf and Skate and Animal Style Skateboarding are teaming up to present a sweet, outdoor movie premier and party.  On August 12, 2011, from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm,  Ocean Beach Surf and Skate is opening up its parking lot for the screening of Animal Style Skateboarding's second film, What Day Is It? starring  Cano Cardenas, Kevin Marquez, Chris Russell, Doug Valdez, Kurt Hodge, Tyler Lee, Gabe Ryan, Steve Shipler and Reuben Barrack.

In addition to the movie, there will be live music from local band, Habitat, a free skate jam open to the public and a smokin' BBQ with food provided by Hodad’s! Ocean Beach Surf and Skate’s very own, Cano Cardenas, will be guest hosting the event and tearing up the skate jam along with other riders from event sponsors.  What better way to kick off the weekend than with the Animal Style and OBSS crew for a free skate jam, movie premier and BBQ on a warm summer’s night? Debut Premiere of Under The Sun Summer Kick-off Luau with Cyrus Sutton!

Join Ocean Beach Surf and Skate as we kick-off the summer with a very special Surf on the Silver Screen Luau at The Pearl Hotel next Tuesday!

Grab your funky Hawaiian shirts, sip on delicious Mai Tai’s and enjoy this month’s exclusive screening of Under the Sun, a unique documentary about Australian surf culture that has been in the making since 2008! This will be the film’s first debut in the United States and to make the night even more memorable, special guest and film director Cyrus Sutton will attend to introduce the film and answer questions.
