This past Friday, September 23, 2011, marked a very special day for a group of visually impaired students from the Braille Institute San Diego. With help from Ocean Experience Surf School, the Braille Institute students learned to stand-up paddleboard (SUP) in Mission Bay, breaking the visual barrier of this popular board sport. The courage and passion the Braille Institute portrayed made this clinic an extraordinary and enriching experience for both the students and instructors alike. FREE Stand Up Paddle Board DEMO's at San Diego Six-Man Volleyball BeachFest

This Saturday, October 3, 2009, Ocean Experience Surf School will help sponsor the San Diego Six-Man Volleyball BeachFest and will be offering FREE SUP demos at the event. On site surf lessons and kayak, SUP and surfboard rentals will be available as well at the event. The San Diego Six-Man Volleyball BeachFest will be located at Mariner's Point in Mission Beach (Mariners Way and W Mission Bay Drive) and kicks off at 8:00 a.m. The festival will feature six-on-six, womens, mens and co-ed volleyball teams, decked out in outragous costums, all competeing to win the Six-Man Volleyball tournament. The teams themselves and volleyball skills will provide endless entertainment to all but guests will also enjoy live music, a beer garden, food and other sponsor booths.
