OBSS’s 7th Annual Holiday Skate Jam at the OB Holiday Parade

Celebrate the holiday season with Ocean Beach Surf & Skate at the 7^th Annual Holiday Skate Jam on December 3, 2011.  As part of the 32^nd Annual Ocean Beach Holiday Parade, OBSS, Silly Girl, Original Betty and A.W.O.L. are teaming up to present this awesome skate jam in the OB Pier parking lot featuring open skate sessions, a skate contest, a ladies only skate contest and amazing prizes from Globe, Vox, Almost, Body Glove, Toy Machine, Creature, Independent and many more. 

The skate jam starts at 9:00am and ends just in time for the parade, which begins at 5:05pm. Registration is open to all ages and abilities and is free, so stop by OBSS and fill out an entry form today. Day-of registration is available, but closes at 11:00am.

Don’t forget to check out OBSS at the holiday parade too -- we’ve created an unbelievable float with OB Elementary that is sure to steal the show! Please join us after the skate jam and parade for OBSS's open house! And don't forget our owner, Rodger Caldwell, will be serving as grand marshall of the OB Holiday Parade so be sure to swing by!

OB Christmas Tree Festival Auction at Sunshine Company

Help support your local community this Thursday, December 3, 2009 at the OB Christmas Tree Festival Auction. Held at the Sunshine Company Saloon, the auction will kick off at 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and will feature incredible donated gifts from the Ocean Beach community, including a complete Sector 9, one week of Summer Surf Camp and a Beach Basket worth $300 from Ocean Beach Surf and Skate and Ocean Experience Surf School. Brought to you by the Ocean Beach Mainstreet Association and the Ocean Beach Town Council., the night's festivities will feature a food and toy drive as well. All proceeds will be used to adopt over 70 Ocean Beach families and seniors, providing them with an unforgettable Christmas and will also be used to support many community groups through out Ocean Beach. Join the cause by bringing your food and toys to Sunshine Company tomorrow night and bid on the great auction items. Attendees must be 21 years of age or older. Hope to see you all there!

Book Signing at Ocean Beach Surf & Skate!

Join us before the Ocean Beach Holiday Parade for an exclusive childrens book reading and signing as well as refreshments and h'ourderves at Ocean Beach Surf and Skate on Saturday, December 5, 2009. From 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Children's author Jeffrey Garcia will be showcasing his latest title, Santa Claus and the Molokai Mules: A Hawaiian Island Surfing Adventure. Garcia's book is a magical story of a young surfer living on Molokai Island, Hawaii and is filled with family relationships, values and hawaiian culture.

5th Annual Holiday Skate Jam

Kick-flip this Holiday season with Ocean Beach Surf and Skate at the 5th Annual Holiday Skate Jam on December 5, 2009. Located at the 30th Annual Ocean Beach Holiday Parade and Kids Fun Zone in the OB Pier Parking Lot, the Holiday Skate Jam will feature open skate sessions, a best trick contest and game of skate, as well as amazing prizes from Sector 9, Zooyork, PIG, ERGO, Katin and many more!


The Jam will run from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. and is open to all ages, so stop by Ocean Beach Surf and Skate and fill out an entry form today. Online and Same-day sign ups are also available, but be sure to get there early because registration will close at 11:00 a.m. Join us for an incredible contest and the chance to win skate swag for FREE!

30th Annual OB Holiday Parade!

Happy Holidays Ocean Beach!

Get in the Holiday spirit this Saturday, December 5, 2009 at the Ocean Beach Holiday Parade! The days festivities include the Kids Fun Zone located in the OB Pier Parking lot, featuring live music from The Blonde Brothers, Ocean Beach Surf and Skate Holiday Skate Jam and Contest, boxing demos, food, vendor booths and much more! The Kids Fun Zone will be held from7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. and at 5:05 p.m. "OB Time", the 30th Annual OB Holiday Parade will kick off. The parade route covers the 4800 - 5000 blocks of Newport Avenue. Come early to stake your spots because this is one crowded night in OB. Hope to see you all there!
