OB Christmas Tree Festival Auction at Sunshine Company

Help support your local community this Thursday, December 3, 2009 at the OB Christmas Tree Festival Auction. Held at the Sunshine Company Saloon, the auction will kick off at 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and will feature incredible donated gifts from the Ocean Beach community, including a complete Sector 9, one week of Summer Surf Camp and a Beach Basket worth $300 from Ocean Beach Surf and Skate and Ocean Experience Surf School. Brought to you by the Ocean Beach Mainstreet Association and the Ocean Beach Town Council., the night's festivities will feature a food and toy drive as well. All proceeds will be used to adopt over 70 Ocean Beach families and seniors, providing them with an unforgettable Christmas and will also be used to support many community groups through out Ocean Beach. Join the cause by bringing your food and toys to Sunshine Company tomorrow night and bid on the great auction items. Attendees must be 21 years of age or older. Hope to see you all there!

5th Annual Holiday Skate Jam

Kick-flip this Holiday season with Ocean Beach Surf and Skate at the 5th Annual Holiday Skate Jam on December 5, 2009. Located at the 30th Annual Ocean Beach Holiday Parade and Kids Fun Zone in the OB Pier Parking Lot, the Holiday Skate Jam will feature open skate sessions, a best trick contest and game of skate, as well as amazing prizes from Sector 9, Zooyork, PIG, ERGO, Katin and many more!


The Jam will run from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. and is open to all ages, so stop by Ocean Beach Surf and Skate and fill out an entry form today. Online and Same-day sign ups are also available, but be sure to get there early because registration will close at 11:00 a.m. Join us for an incredible contest and the chance to win skate swag for FREE!

Ocean Beach News: Oktoberfest Takes Over OB!

From brats and beers to bands and contests... this Ocean Beach fall tradition also known as the OB Oktoberfest is going to be one amazing festival you will NOT want to miss! Located at the in Ocean Beach Pier parking lot on October 10, 2009, the German inspired beer fest kicks off at 10:00 a.m. with the infamous Brat Trot. Other contests include the "world famous" sausage toss, a stein holding contest and the bratwurst eating contest, all with over $10,000 in cash and prizes! That's not all though... on top of all that fun will be amazing German-inspired food and music galore! Featuring two stages, the OB Oktoberfest line-up includes Way Cool Jr, Geezer, 40 Oz to Freedom, Bavarian Beer Garden Band, South Town Generals and The Styletones on the Karl Strauss Beer Garden Stage and the Bavarian Beer Garden Band and Lobster Bob on the Seaside Stage. Last, but definitely not least, enjoy your day of fun responsibly and save gas by taking the FREE shuttle bus to and from Pacific Beach. Pick-up and drop-off  will be located at 710 Beach Club on 710 Garnet Ave, Pacific Beach and rides will run every 30 minutes from 12:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m., when the festival ends.
